Hi.

My name is Bree, and I'm glad you're here. 

I'm just a twenty-something girl who is praying and preparing for this thing they call the World Race.
I, as perhaps you might have guessed, do more than just race around the world, and the other things I love include:

Jesus
The game Clue
Iowa City when it's above 30 degrees
Writing
People that I know
Books
Large bodies of water
The laptop I'm using right now
The smell of books
Food (especially if I didn't have to make it)
Opening new things and using them
All forms of sugar
Rapping
Encouraging people
Discovering new music
Swimming
Teaching people to swim
Playing music really loudly

Isaiah 61

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,

    because the Lord has anointed me

    to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

    to proclaim freedom for the captives

    and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor

    and the day of vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn,

and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

to bestow on them a crown of beauty

    instead of ashes,

the oil of joy

    instead of mourning,

and a garment of praise

    instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,

    a planting of the Lord

    for the display of his splendor.
